THE Academic Staff Union of the Polytechnics, ASUP, on Wednesday, announced a fourteen day cautioning strike beginning from Monday, May 16.

The statement of strike came after the termination of the one month final proposal by ASUP to the Federal Government on April 4, which lapsed on May 4.
Tending to writers on the situation with its commitment with the government, after its crisis National Executive Council, NEC, meeting in Abuja, the President of ASUP, Anderson Ezeibe, said the that the choice to continue on strike was because of the government failure to address their nine focuses requests.
Ezeibe approached the general population to influence the government to do the needful inside the fourteen days time frame in order to stay away from an endless shut down of the area.
Among the disagreeable issues are the non-arrival of the endorsed revitalisation store for the area, non-arrival of unpaid debts of the new the lowest pay permitted by law, non-arrival of the investigated regulating instruments for the foundation/the board and projects accreditation.
The supposed supported infractions in execution of the arrangements of the Federal Polytechnics Act as corrected, is additionally an issue.
